Re-initialization of the oil change warning system
If you change the engine oil yourself, you must reinitialize the oil change warning system after performing this operation.
To do this, within 10 seconds after switching on the ignition:
- fully depress the accelerator pedal;
- while keeping the accelerator pedal depressed, press the brake pedal three times in succession.
The re-initialization is completed when the
indicator goes out. Otherwise, repeat the operation. Special case: if you change the oil before the oil change warning appears, you must also re-initialize the warning system. In this case, to confirm the initialization, the signal lamp lights up for about 5 seconds.
