M8 bolts for fastening the water pump | 27 Nm |
M6 bolts for fastening the water pump | 10 Nm |
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- right front wheel
- timing belt.
Drain the liquid from the engine cooling system.
Remove:
- fastening bolts (1) water pump,
- water pump.
Installation
Use a super effective mating surface cleaner to clean:
- the mating plane of the water pump in case of its reuse,
- mating plane of the cylinder block.
Apply the product to the surfaces to be cleaned.
Wait approximately 10 minutes.
Remove residue with a wooden spatula.
Finally clean the parts with a matting swab.
Attention! To ensure sealing, mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
Degrease the mating surfaces with a surface cleaner.
Attention! Applying too much sealant can cause the sealant to be squeezed out when parts are tightened. The ingress of sealant into the coolant can damage some components and assemblies (engine, radiator, etc.).
Apply to (2) glue bead for rubber parts 0.6-1 mm wide.
Apply one to two drops of FRENETAN-CHE to the water pump mounting bolts (1) And (4).
Install the water pump.
Wrap in the specified order bolts of fastening of the water pump before a contact.
Tighten in order to the correct torque:
- M8 bolts for mounting the water pump (27 Nm) (1),
- M6 bolts for mounting the water pump (10 Nm) (2).
Install:
- timing belt,
- accessory drive belt.
Fill the engine cooling system with liquid.
Connect the battery.
Remove air from the engine cooling system.
