Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove:
- bolts of fastening of protection of the pallet crankcase of the engine,
- engine undertray protection,
- left front wheel.
Drain the gearbox oil.
Remove the left front side mudguard.
Remove:
- bolt (1) fastening of the pipeline of the hydraulic booster of a steering to a transmission,
- bolt (2) attaching the power steering pipe to the gearbox support.
Loosen the nut (3) fastenings on the connecting rod of the left subframe of the front suspension.
Remove the bolt (4) fasteners from the connecting rod of the left subframe of the front suspension.
Move aside the connecting rod from the left front suspension subframe.
Disconnect connector (5) reverse light switch.
Install the crankcase breather pan under the rear transaxle case cover.
Disconnect wiring (6) reverse light switch on the rear cover of the gearbox housing.
Turn away bolts (7) from the rear cover of the gearbox housing.
Remove:
- bolts (8) fixing the rear cover of the gearbox housing,
- rear cover of the gearbox housing,
- gearbox rear cover gasket.
Parts that must be replaced: gearbox rear cover gasket.
Using a surface cleaner, wipe and degrease the bonded surface:
- rear cover of the gearbox housing,
- gearbox housing.
Install the rear gearbox housing cover with a new gasket.
Torque tighten the bolts securing the rear cover of the gearbox housing (25 Nm).
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Torque tighten:
- bolt of connecting rod of the left subframe of the front suspension (21 Nm),
- nut for fastening the connecting rod of the left subframe of the front suspension (21 Nm).
Fill the gearbox with oil and top up the level.
