ABS-equipped Renault 19s in the rear axle have a brake pressure control valve for the rear disc brakes. It distributes the pressure in the brake drive to the rear wheels depending on the specific load.
The adjusting valve, located on the holder in the transverse beam of the body, reacts to the position of the suspension relative to the body at different loads. To do this, it is connected by means of a long spring with a suspension. In the event of a malfunction in the workshop, work can be carried out to monitor the serviceability of the valve.
