Key positions in the ignition lock with anti-theft lock
The key fits all locks, and the remote control for central locking (according to version) located in the head of the key. The key has a number that must be written down and stored in a safe place, as it can be used to order a duplicate of a lost key.
In addition to the anti-theft device, the key has an electronic engine immobilizer that de-energizes the ignition system, fuel system and starter until the ignition key is recognized by the vehicle's electronic components.
1. STOP position/anti-theft lock
If the key in the ignition switch does not turn or is difficult to turn to this position, you should slightly rock the steering wheel left and right - the wheel will unlock. To lock the steering, turn the steering wheel with the ignition key removed until the steering lock pin clicks into place.
2. Accessories
The ignition is turned off, but power is supplied to additional consumers (radio, etc.).
3. Ignition on
The ignition is turned on, and on vehicles with diesel engines, engine preheating is turned on.
4. Starting the engine
As soon as the engine starts, immediately release the ignition key - the starter should not rotate with the engine
Before each new attempt to start the engine, the ignition key must be returned to position 1. The starter restart interlock device is located in the ignition switch. prevents the starter from turning on when the engine crankshaft rotates and thereby protects the starter from damage.
Until the engine has warmed up to normal operating temperature, do not operate the engine at high speeds or heavy loads.
