Removing water
- Loosen the water drain bolt located under the fuel filter.
- Loosen the air bleed bolt and wait until water and impurities are drained from the filter
- Tighten the water drain bolt and bleed air from the fuel system.
Removing air
Air removal from the fuel system must be carried out in the following cases:
- disconnecting fuel pipes;
- air entering the high pressure fuel pump power supply system;
- complete exhaustion of fuel from the fuel tank or after replacing the fuel filter element.
- To bleed air, loosen the air bleed bolt located on the filter bracket and run the fuel booster pump until specified. until fuel comes out from under the bolt without air bubbles, then tighten the bolt.
- Tighten the bleed bolt
- Continue pumping fuel until noticeable resistance appears.
- If the engine does not start, repeat the bleeding operation.
