- Removing and installing a turbocharger requires removing the power unit from the vehicle.
Attention. Under no circumstances should you attempt to remove the turbocharger without removing the power unit, as... in this case, it is impossible to meet the requirements for connecting the oil supply pipeline (1, fig. 4.31), and the stresses caused by blind tightening of the fitting (3). will lead to pipeline damage (1) when the engine is running.
- Install the pipeline (1) onto the turbocharger by tightening the fitting by hand (3).
- Install the turbocharger, ensuring the correct position of the fitting (4) and wrapping it by hand.
- Tighten the nuts securing the turbocharger to the manifold to a torque of 27 Nm.
- Tighten the fitting (4). then the fitting (3).
- Special fitting gasket (3) The oil supply to the turbocharger must be replaced.
- Before starting the engine, disconnect the fuel pressure sensor wire connector in the distribution line (5). After this, turn on the starter for a few seconds until the oil pressure warning light goes out.
- Connect the sensor wire connector, turn on the preheating and start the engine.
- Let the engine idle and check for leaks at the turbocharger oil line fittings.
- Using the diagnostic tool, delete the recorded fault from the memory. the code of which was registered when the sensor was disconnected.
Precautionary measures
- Make sure that foreign objects do not fall into the turbine or compressor. If the turbocharger malfunctions, check whether the air-to-air heat exchanger is filled with oil, otherwise remove the heat exchanger, wash it with cleaner and thoroughly drain the cleaner.
- Make sure that the oil drainage channel is not partially or completely clogged with carbon deposits. Also make sure it is completely sealed, otherwise replace it.
