Required special tool
- Mot. 1233-01 Threaded rods for removing the subframe.
Tightening torques, Nm
- Subframe front mounting bolts: 62.
- Rear subframe bolts: 105.
- Bolts of fastening of the pallet of a crankcase of the engine: 10.
- Steering shaft universal joint yoke bolt: 30.
- Tie Rod Bolt: 62.
- Wheel bolts: 90.
Removing
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Remove:
- front wheels;
- nut and screw of the terminal connection of the universal joint yoke of the steering shaft, having previously displaced the protective cover.
5. Press the ball joint pins of the suspension arms, as well as the ball joint pins of the tie rod ends for the engine, out of the steering knuckles. Remove the connecting rod between the subframe and the body, disconnect the gearshift linkage from the gear selector lever, remove bolt 1 and release the bolt 2 of the reactive linkage.
6. Remove:
- fastening details of the lower bumper support;
- exhaust manifold heat shield;
- catalytic converter;
- flywheel protective cover;
- holders of pipelines of the amplifier of a steering on the block of cylinders and a multipurpose arm;
- fastening bolts 3;
- subframe bolts and fit the threaded rods of tool Mot. 1233-01.
7. Using the threaded rods of tool Mot. 1233-01 gradually lower the subframe until approximately X1 = 9 cm, X2 = 12 cm (pic. 3.20).
8. Remove the oil pan.
Installation
1. Clean the oil pan.
2. Apply a layer of RHODORSEAL 5661 about 3 mm wide (pic. 3.21).
3. Be sure to replace the semi-circular gaskets on each side of the pan.
