Installation
1. Lightly lubricate the drive shaft to ease boot installation (position the small diameter boot collar in the groove on the drive shaft).
2. Install the treble pin in the position marked when removed and replace the circlip.
3. Apply three points of penetration on the drive shaft at an angle of 120°to each other, crimping the metal of the splines.
4. Install the hinge body on the three-stud.
5. Divide the recommended amount of grease between boot and pivot housing in half.
6. Position the protruding belts of the cover in the mounting grooves.
7. Insert a chamfered rod between the boot and hinge body to adjust the air content inside the hinge.
8. Lengthen or shorten the hinge until you get dimension A = 190 mm (the size between the end of the hinge body and the end of the groove on the drive shaft for installing the belt of a small diameter of the boot). In this position, remove the rod.
