Removing and installing the trunk lid
Note:
This operation can be performed in two ways:
- removal without awnings (used when replacing doors)
- removal from awnings (used to provide initial adjustment)
The front door can be removed without removing the front fender.
Removing the trunk lid without canopies
1. Remove the trunk lid wiring harness (depending on equipment level).
2. Loosen the screws (1) on both sides of the vehicle.
3. Remove the trunk lid from the car (two people are required).
Installing the trunk lid without canopies
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Adjust the gaps around the perimeter of the trunk lid and the coincidence of the surfaces of the lid and adjacent body surfaces.
Removing the trunk lid with canopies
1. Remove trunk lid wiring harness (depending on equipment level).
2. Remove the trunk lid racks.
3. Remove the rear shelf trim.
4. Loosen fasteners (2) canopy of the trunk lid on both sides of the car.
5. Remove the trunk lid (two people are required).
Installing the trunk lid with awnings
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Adjust the gaps around the perimeter of the trunk lid and the coincidence of the surfaces of the lid and adjacent body surfaces.
Trunk lid adjustment
Note: Body clearance values are given in section " Body repair and dimensions" below.
There are three ways to adjust the trunk lid:
- by means of bolts of fastening of canopies of a cover of a luggage carrier;
- by means of nuts for fastening the canopies of the trunk lid;
- by means of the trunk lid latch panel.
Note: Observe the sequence of adjustment zones shown in the figure.
Note: The symbols A, B, C and D indicate the adjustment method. The black dot in the center corresponds to the bolt shank. The gray areas correspond to the controlled component. The white areas correspond to the adjustment area.
Adjustment by means of bolts of fastening of canopies of a cover of a luggage carrier
1. Loosen the bolts (1) attaching canopies to the trunk lid on both sides of the car.
2. Adjust the gaps around the perimeter of the trunk lid.
3. Tighten the bolts securing the canopies to the trunk lid.
Adjustment by means of nuts of fastening of canopies of a cover of a luggage carrier
1. Remove the rear shelf trim.
2. Loosen the nuts (2) canopies on both sides of the car.
3. Adjust the gaps around the perimeter of the trunk lid.
4. Tighten the nuts securing the canopies.
5. Install the rear shelf trim.
Adjustment via trunk lid latch panel
1. Unscrew the bolts of the lock bracket (3).
2. Adjust the gaps around the perimeter of the trunk lid.
3. Tighten the bolts securing the lock bracket.
