Attention: To avoid loss of brake efficiency, do not kink the vacuum line of the brake booster.
Prepare suitable containers to collect fluid and take measures to protect surrounding components from contact with brake fluid.
Removing the vacuum brake booster
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the brake master cylinder.
3. Remove the brake booster check valve.
4. Tilt the connecting part down and remove the safety cotter pin between the vacuum booster rod and the brake pedal from the inside of the car.
5. Unscrew the nuts of the vacuum brake booster from the inside of the car (Nuts secure the pedal bracket to the bulkhead).
6. Remove the vacuum brake booster
Installing a vacuum brake booster
Attention: Be sure to replace the connecting pin between the brake pedal and the vacuum booster rod with a new one.
1. Make sure there is a seal on the vacuum brake booster. If the seal is damaged, replace it with a new one.
2.Before installation, make sure the size (X1) is 155.55 mm.
3. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Attention: In order to avoid breaking the connection between the brake booster rod and the brake pedal, make sure that the safety pin is fixed on the vacuum booster rod by tilting it from top to bottom.
4. After installation, bleed the brake system.
