Attention: When working in the immediate vicinity of the engine, be aware that it may be hot. Also remember that the cooling fan can turn on at any time. There is a risk of injury.
To open the hood, pull the handle (1).
Unlocking the hood safety lock
To unlock, lift the hood and press the latch (2) in the direction of the arrow (A) to release the hook (3).
Hood opening
Raise the hood while holding it. The hood is held by a gas stop (4).
Closing the hood
Make sure you don't leave any foreign objects in the engine compartment.
To close, hold the hood by the middle part, bring it up to about 30 cm from the closed position, then release.
The hood will close under its own weight.
Attention:
Do not lean on the hood: it may close unexpectedly.
Before working under the hood, make sure that the wiper switch is in position "Turned off». There is a risk of injury.
Make sure the hood is securely locked. Make sure there is nothing blocking the lock (a piece of gravel, rags, etc.).
After completing work in the engine compartment, check that nothing is forgotten inside (rags, tools, etc.). Objects left inside may damage the engine or cause a fire.
Even after a slight impact on the radiator lining or on the hood, have the hood lock checked by the manufacturer's service center as soon as possible.
