Helpful advice: Do not store your car under a rubber cover and do not place rubber objects on the painted surfaces of the body: they leave marks on the paintwork (especially light) dark spots that cannot be removed by polishing.
To preserve the appearance of the body and keep it in good condition for a long time, it is necessary to periodically polish the paintwork of the body. Select polishing agents in accordance with the condition of the coating, strictly follow the recommendations for their use.
Wash the car body coating with cold water for the first 2-3 months of operation. To polish the new coating (up to 3 years) Use non-abrasive polishes for new finishes.
When using a car for 3 to 5 years, car polishes for weathered surfaces containing a small amount of abrasives are recommended. After 5 years of intensive use, use car polishes for old surfaces.
To prevent the polish from drying out, work the bodywork by hand in small sections with a clean flannel cloth.
To eliminate minor defects of the paintwork, you can use polishing pastes PMA-1 or PMA-2. Polishing can be done manually or mechanically with flannel or lambskin circles.
Before use, stir the paste, if it thickens, dilute it with water. After polishing, wipe the surface with a clean flannel.
Paint over small chips and scratches that have not damaged the primer layer with a thin brush. If the primer layer is damaged, sand the damaged area with fine-grained sandpaper, removing traces of corrosion. Cover the cleaned area with a layer of primer (from a spray gun, aerosol can or brush). When the primer is completely dry, paint over the damaged area with enamel.
If bitumen gets on the car's paintwork, remove it immediately with white spirit or a car bitumen stain remover. Bitumen causes yellow stains, especially noticeable on light-colored paintwork.
At least once every two years it is necessary to treat with a preservative such as «Mo-ville» hidden cavities of the body and apply anti-corrosion mastic to the surface of the wheel arches and the bottom. We recommend that these works be carried out at a service station.
