Replacing the master brake cylinder reservoir
You will need a screwdriver.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the brake fluid level sensor.
3. Unscrew the reservoir cap and pump out the brake fluid from it, for example, using a rubber bulb or a medical syringe.
4. Using a screwdriver, remove the tank, extracting its pipes from the connecting bushings.
5. Remove the connecting bushings from the cylinder body holes. Inspect the bushings and, if signs of rubber aging appear, replace them.
6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Helpful Hint: To make installation of the reservoir easier, wet the connecting bushings with fresh brake fluid.
7. Fill the brake fluid and remove air from the hydraulic drive (see «Bleeding the hydraulic brake system»).
