1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Unscrew the cap of the master brake cylinder reservoir and pump out the brake fluid from the reservoir, for example, using a rubber bulb.
3. Loosen the nuts securing the four pipelines to the cylinder and move the pipelines to the side.
Note: The master cylinder reservoir has been removed for clarity. However, the master cylinder can be removed with the reservoir.
Helpful Hint: Seal the pipes in any way possible (for example, by putting protective caps on their ends to release air), to prevent brake fluid from leaking out.
4. Unscrew the two nuts securing the master brake cylinder to the vacuum booster...
5....and remove the master brake cylinder.
Note.
Please note: The brake master cylinder flange is sealed with a rubber ring.
Replace a ring that is too compressed, hardened or torn.
6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal, fill with brake fluid and bleed air from the system (see «Bleeding the hydraulic brake system»).
