Vehicles with a 1.6-/2.0-liter petrol engine
The throttle body needs to be removed for many jobs in the engine bay.
Removing
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Disconnect the plugs of the intake air temperature sensor 1, as well as the throttle valve opening potentiometer 8 (see illustration).
3.2 Disconnect the plugs of the intake air temperature sensor 1, as well as the throttle valve opening potentiometer 8
3. Loosen the screw clamp of the hose clamp 2 on the throttle nozzle and remove the hose (see illustration) 3.2).
4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle lever.
5. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose.
6. Clamp with clamps, eg HAZET 4590-2 or FACOM Mot. 453-01 cooling hoses 6 in the places indicated by the line in illustration 3.6. If this is not done, then after performing the following operation, fluid will leak from the cooling system.
3.6 Clamp with clamps, eg HAZET 4590-2 or FACOM Mot. 453-01 cooling hoses 6 in places marked with a line
7. Loosen clamps on hoses 6 and disconnect hoses (see illustration 3.6).
8. Remove the four screws (see arrows in illustration 3.6) and remove the throttle body.
Installation
9. Replace flat gasket between throttle body and intake manifold. Remove the old seal and remove its residues from the sealing surfaces.
10. Install the throttle body with four bolts. The tightening torque of the bolts is 15 Nm.
11. Connect hoses of system of cooling and fix them on branch pipes collars.
12. Remove the clamps from the hoses with which they were pinched to prevent leakage of coolant. '
13. Connect hose 5 crankcase ventilation (see illustration 3.2).
14. Connect the plugs of the intake air temperature sensor and the throttle valve potentiometer.
15. Attach the accelerator cable to the throttle lever and adjust its tension.
16. Attach the air intake hose to the throttle body. The hose clamp screw must be on the side opposite the accelerator cable.
17. Replace the air filter.
18. Fill in cooling liquid and remove air from the cooling system.
