- intermittent;
- low speed;
- high speed.
Changing the operating mode is carried out using the wiper switch lever on the right side of the steering column. On some vehicles, the wiper mode may change automatically depending on the speed of the vehicle (additional equipment). In this case, when the vehicle is stopped, the windshield wiper switches to a lower speed:
- from continuous operation at high speed to continuous operation at low speed;
- from continuous operation at low speed to intermittent operation.
When the vehicle is restarted, the wiper will return to the selected speed.
If the vehicle is equipped with a rain sensor that automatically turns on the wiper when the windshield is wet, then the wiper speed does not depend on the speed of the vehicle.
At high vehicle speeds, when the windshield wiper arms and blades are heavily loaded by the wind, the wiper will automatically switch to a lower speed. If the wiper mechanism is blocked for any reason (for example, when the brushes freeze to the windshield) motor power is automatically turned off.
To ensure the reliability of the rain sensor, it is recommended to systematically replace the wiper blade on the front passenger side.
